Burt lake?

Has there been any ice forming in maple bay yet planning a trip second week of january.any help would be great

Thursday I headed over to Maple bay and some other access points on Burt, and while there was ice, there wasn't enough that extended out any distance. On Maple Bay, shore ice extended about 50 yds, and then open water as far as I could see. Mundt rd. pretty much the same thing. Hoppies, no shore ice at all. Scotties, shore ice for about 25yds, and then open water. With the high winds and warming temps, I suspect most all of the ice will be deteriorated, and we will be starting from scratch. Sorry for the dismal response, but I had today off and really had the itch to get out. Tight Lines.
