This is Jeff Russell, the winner of the RCL Detroit River Tourney, I don't know jeff personally, but I was reading his profile bio on the anglers page. This seems to be a great guy with a bright future in the walleye fishing profession. I wish him well in any other events that he fishes and a good year on the RCL tournament trail.

I had a the chance to meet Jeff last summer while pre-fihing for a small tournament on Lake Erie. The guy I was fishing with knows Jeff really well and after fishing we spent some time at Jeffs campsite in Stearling State Park having dinner and a few beers and a lot of talk about walleye fishing. You couldn't meet a more likeable and hard working fisherman. He has spent a lot of time pre fishing for tournaments and learning the world of walleye. He fished last year on the eastern division of the PWT and had enough points to make the top 40 fish off at the end of the year. This was only his second RCL tournament. Its nice to see a individual like Jeff win a tournament of this calibre because he has worked very hard to get here and this should give his career in walleye fishing a huge boost.

Jeff really is a nice guy .. And very deserving of this hard fought win ... Jeff is not only a good Walleye fisherman... but can hold his own on the Big lake too ... Congrat's agian to Jeff. Hope he continues to kick some butt out there on the tour .
