Sure hope we get some ice this year. No walleye ice last year drove me nuts. The ice out to palmer was breaking up today from what I heard. My son and father-in-law went out today, caught 35 nice ones, son got a soaker up to his knees. I'm hoping we get some ice again before christmas but with the forecast it don't look good.

i was in 3 fow catching walleyes last year never did make it out to deep water but then again i rarely ever do...usually have the masses drive past me figuring im perch fishen lol....theres a few places you can get eyes in less then 10 fow ive been doing it a long time now

We do the same thing in Erie in the summer. There will be a huge pack of boats out in deeper water and we are pactically by ourselves in shallow. I don't get to the Bay enough to know where to fish it much. Just have a couple of spots thanks to some friends. Hopefully if we have ice this year I will learn more about it. Love being retired.
