Chippewa is always one of the first to have good ice. But all I could ever catch there were dinks.

Well, Chippewa Lake has open water on the west side in the deep area. It does'nt freeze there till later anyway. But the East Bay is frozen over, but the ice does'nt look good. There were'nt any foot tracks or oger holes that I could see. Now Hay Marsh there were people fishing out there. Ice looked to be 2-3". A few foot tracks around on the ice. I think I might go out there Monday to try it before it gets to warm.

Well, I went down there today to try it. No one out there, today on the ice. Had my spud, 2 wacks and threw the ice. Well I not going out there. So wether the ice went bad overnight, witch it was warm lastnight, and the sun was out this morning, or the ice is better farther out, or them guys were just NUTS! yesterday. The bad thing is, that they were catching bluegills :fish: :fish: yesterday.
