Me and my daughter fished in Omer today 4-5-02.We caught 15 suckers from 1:00 to 5:00.I spent most of the time tying on hooks. My daughter had a blast.!!!!Remember to release those eyes, they have a job to do.

OmerJim, you just get more and more hostile every day, don't you? A few days ago, you were talking about running down members of this site and now you want somebody to talk to you so you can tell them where to go! ;) :) :p

Sorry, couldn't resist. :D

Stelmon,we were using rubber lime and orange colored spawn clusters. We started by using treble hooks but we got snaged too often.Changed to a single hook.Missed a lot of strikes but a lot less tie ups.

Omerjim, Im going to take my kids sucker fishing next weekend. So where is this place with out a bunch of snags.. I have fished the rifle before but seems to me that every where you throw a line in you get a snag
You dont have to tell me exactly, but can you point me in the right direction. thanks:)

Yes, I had my Mr.Personality face on the othernight( wife was with me). There is lots of snags throughout the Rifle, but in general fish the holes in the bends. The stretch from 23 bridge to the public access site is almost all limestone and rock. The area by the firehall, railroad bridge and outside bends are all easier to fish with kids.
Still havent seen the big run of females yet. Maybe todays rain will help.
Oldest son lost two browns at the E. Tawas dock Sat.and only one hit Sun.
Good luck to all, Jim
