Crooked Lake -Claire County

I am going up to Crooked Lake over the holidays. I hope to get out on the ice. Have any of you fished this lake on the ice? What did you fish for? Where is a good place to fish? Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Buzzy:)

Hey Buzz, We (Ice fishin posse) have fished Crooked Lake a couple times in early Februrary. We got some Specs at dusk +2hr. We were only getting LG Mouth bass on the tipups. Nothing to write home about but still had a blast.
We stayed at some cabins their that were really nice (big screen TV). I don't recall where we fished. Pretty much all over. Good Luck! Hope this weather cools down for us. We're going to Round Lake by Luddington the weekend of Jan 12. If the weather keeps up we may be fishing the peer!:rant:

I'll be about 4 miles from Crooked Lake over the Holidays. I haven't fished it though. I have beagles and they don't care to fish ;)

I fished the hard water there about 2 years ago. I saw some very nice pike (several keepers and one 36") caught with chubs and tip ups. I have no idea about current ice conditions.

Talked to my Step father last night, temps were 42 at 8pm and raining. No hard water for a while.
