best way to fish suckers or any fish in a river is drift fish.match the speed of the current and its fish on!any thing yellow ,green, and or red usually does the trick.just make sure your close to bottem.good luck and tight lines. riverratt

yep keep your bait at the bottom and I hear that red colored pieces of sponge are the hot color right now. Im not sure I just pass thru there (omer) on my to go steelhead fishing. Always wanted to stop but never do! I am going to take my daughter one of these days though. I hear the kids have blast!!!

If you don't want to drift your bait, use 1/2-1oz snagless sinkers.
Tie a three way swivel on your line, 16" dropper for the sinker and 12" for the hook. I use a #8 or#6 short shank baitholder style hook because you never know what you may get in this river! Use crawlers for a chance at the best variety of fish.
