Crappie reports?

I herd that the specs are hitting good on Reeds and a couple other lakes, anyone been out trying for them?

Not Sid & don't know about Reeds. But I'm fortunate to live (fairly) close to a couple good crappie lakes that are managed by the DNR with walleye plants to control overpopulation of the panfish. Seems to be working well because the crappie size & fishing is good now & get a bonus walleye, now & then. Slow drifting a homemade crappie/perch rig around with minnows has been golden. Got a double/double the other day. 4 crappies on 2 rods, felt like the tuna fleet for a minute. Weather's supposed to settle down next week so hope to get out a few more times before ice-up.
