Bittersweet 11 point

Stayed close to home to hunt the opener for the first time in 31 years. I knew there were a few nice ones around. Took an eleven point at 10:30am with 18" outside spread, eight inch tines and six inch brows. Should have a pic tomorow. 90% sure it is the one I hit earlier this month ; will know for sure when the hide comes off.

I figure that buck had been suffering for the last ten days. I presumed it was dead in the neighbors swamp where we couldn't gain access to search. It all turned out good - maybe bittersweet IS the wrong word. Believe me, I'm very happy!
