I'm desperate to own a good pair of waders. I'm tired of them leaking and or tearing easily. I would like to keep the thinsulate around 600 grams in the boot. Anything more gets too hot in the early season. Looking for some help chosing the right wader.

Thanks

I'v ben using these for about 6-7 years now (cant remember if its 6 or 7) but there tuff. I think mine are a little different but this is the clostest I can find to them. I use them alot for fishing and hunting. the thinsulate is 1000 grams but I dont get too hot, I have never had that porblem. My feet are always cold.

I have used the Cabelas Super Mag 1600's for the last two seasons and absolutely love them. Over 40 days last year and about 25 so far this year and never had cold feet. They also have the armor-flex neoprene and it wears well.

I just got the Cabelas 1600 Flex Armor this season and love them too. I just use my leaky old lighter pair for my early season hunting. I love them in the Layout I've never come close to being cold in them.

Any of the Cabela's waders with Armor Flex would be a good choice.
Mine are 4 years old now and still keeping water out. (knock on wood!)

Any waders from Cabela's with the armor flex are great. Plus if any thing ever happens to them, they will send you a new pair for free!!!!!

can't go wrong, the stout version is roomy! They aren't intended for warmth but are durable and dry! I'm on my second pair and very happy with them! I hunt Canada until 12/20 with them and as long as my ears and hands are warm so are my toes under tow pair of socks!

Got a pair of these earlier in the season myself. One word, awesome, I'll never wear neoprene's again!

definatly get the breathables!!! they are nice for early season (i wear a pair of scrubs under mine) all the way to the end!!! its so nice getting in and out of them too! roomy to say the least! and you dont feel all clammy in them like you do in neos. also if you get into trouble (fall in) you can get out of them very easy!! i would also get a pair of those fleece underwaders (du has them so does drake) for those cold mornings just my 2 cents worth

if you're on a budget, the cabela's 3mm neostretch waders are 600g thinsulate and around $100. i have the 5mm, which are 800g, and love them. two seasons through alot of pickerbushes, a barbed wire fence here and there, and getting thrown around in the back my truck... still goin strong.

Ditto!! Absolutely love mine. Would never buy anything different! (although I'm 6'4" 245). I wear them ducking and surf fishing during the spring (February, march).

I've had all the rest.

I'm the envy of my hunting buddies when walking on land or in mud AND they are warm with the right clothes worn underneath.
