Went to the mighty ausable again Sunday. Fished it today with my buddy Alex. The temp was really cold in the morning. The day warmed up nicely in the afternoon. The fishing was terrible fished many holes that we fished friday and did well on were empty today. Desi's was closed so no killer omelte and coffee. Had a sub from the old dam store and some chips. Fished some more after lunch but still nothing. Then the wind picked up, which would have been really cold except for the sun was warm on the body. It was really werid on the river today. The river was a ghost town, not many fishermen at all. Not sure if it being easter sunday had anything to do with it. But man was it nice being this close to the major run and nobody fishing. Maybe everyone knew that they wouldnt be biting today. On the way out Alex and I did some river cleaning. We picked up two nets full of trash, beer bottles, pop cans, and other crap. I just dont understand why some people are that lazy not to pick up after themselves. It really makes me sick! You people know who you are!!! You lazy Bas@#$%'s! Well enough of ranting and raving. Hoping to get out agian this weekend and then I'll be done. Not Fishing with the elbows and ass@#$%'s. O ya for you fly fishers there was a dark hendrickson hatch size 18 or 20(I think)in the early afternoon. Ill say a rather large hatch. Well just remember to some of you! Im sure your mother doesnt fish with you so pick up after yourself!!!

Yeah I know what you mean by lazy rat bast#*'s can't pick up after themselves! I was on the Rifle Saturday and it looked like a damn picnic area! If you are gonna bring your bottles, cans, cigarettes, and lunch stuff in, have the common sense to bring it back out!
Take nothing but Fish and Memories and your garbage!

its funny how those vest pockets can hold all those goodies for on the river, but there just isnt room in those same pockets to take it back out after a day of fishing. you know you never see the axx holes that throw all that crap along the river. i wish i could gather it all up an dump it in there bed some time an see what they think of sleeping with all the crap they left behind. if i say any more in here im going to get banded from this great site of information.

HEY WEEZER
Not really to good at name flys coming off the water but getting better. They flies that were hatching were gray bodies and white wings. ill say they were about a size 16 or 18. I was thinking the hendrickson hatch should be coming soon (according to my hatch chart) So I thought thats what they might be. What do you think they were? You been fishing lately? Im heading back to the ausable this weekend. I still havent tried the spots on the rifle ladykiller suggested. but hoping to next week monday and tuesday after work. Wanna Go?

I was also there sunday. there was a decent hatch going on. Heck it made me wonder why i wasn't in grayling. And i almost went there once i saw the hatch start. I think what i saw was BWO's or stones, i really don't now my flies to well though. Actually i know Western flies better than the ones in michigan.
