Outta State Condolences

Please accept my condolences on your recent loss on the dove hunting. Some of you may wonder why a non-resident followed this and was concerned. The answer is because it was your turn this time and who know's next time. Imho, you lost because of money. If every sports person who read of your fight would have realized the importance and taken the time to throw a few bucks in an envelope, the outcome may have been favorable. Please don't get discouraged and keep the faith. When this evil beast [HSUS] raises its head again, and it will, please use your experience to help the next targets. You all have my admiration for the effort you put forth. Good luck to all!!

Thanks for the condolences. We lost the fight because not enough of us thought there was a real chance that it would be defeated. In reality only a handful of sportsmen put forth a real effort. Seems like many were shocked that we lost. Maybe the next time we will take HSUS/PETA seriously. I think down deep we all know that we really did'nt put up much of a fight. I was at my voting precinct for 10 hours passing out fliers and there didn't seem to be any sportsmen there that wanted to talk about the issue. They hung their heads as they walked by. I saw about 10 people all day that were wearing their camo or hunter orange. You're right about one thing, the evil beast will raise it's ugly head again. Now they think Michigan is an easy mark. I find it hard to believe that in a state with the hunting tradition that we have we couldn't even pony up enough dollars for one commercial to fight the cause. Not one. I hope we all look in the mirror and admit that we were to lazy to fight the fight. Enough said.
