I saw that in the paper, looks like a button buck?
There is a group going out today to try and tranquilize the BB to get the pumpkin off.

Geez...it's usually the teenagers who steal the kid's halloween candy in my neighborhood.
Seriously, I hope they can find the buck again and remove the plastic pumpkin.

the media bleeding hearts just had to slip this hunting comment in there
"The bucket also would make it much easier for hunters to see the animal when the state's hunting season begins Wednesday.
Vescolani said he and the others will do their best to save the deer."

I hope everyone learns from this. Take care of your bait containers and dont leave them in the woods.

I saw an article yesterday that reported that some kids found the pumpkin bucket, without the deer attached. Sounds like the deer got out of it on its own. Imagine that. I am a little surprised that a wild animal could figure out how to survive on its own without the help of human caretakers (sarcasm fully intended).

Yes, this is a solemn reminder for me to stop using my kids plastic pumpkins for the transportation of bait - i should probably also take the giant plastic big-boy off my 4 wheeler and stop dressing like Santa when i'm in the woods LOL.
I bet this garners even more anti-hunting sentiment before its over - all because some moron didn't clean up their own mess - it's too bad.

It was on the news this afternoon that the pumpkin is now off of the deer. It was able to free itself somehow.

I say, if he couldn't figure out how to get that off his head on his own, he would have never made through the winter anyway. I bet he was hungry when he finally got that thing off.
