I live in Kent county, being south of the rifle border. Now, it is that you cant hunt Deer with a rifle south of the this line, or is that that any centerfire rifle is illegal to use while hunting ANY game south of this line? Cause I would like to use my 30-06 for some woodchucks and/or Coyotes. Anyone know for sure?

I don't know about that, a lot of the State Game areas I've been on have signs, stating "NO CENTERFIRE RIFLES", I take that to mean rimfires are okay, like a 22. I do believe the rifle line starts in the Northern part of Kent County though.

In general you can use a centerfire rifle for small game throughout Michigan. However, there are a lot of locations where they are not allowed. These include State Game Areas as well as other public lands. If you are hunting private property you may also want to check with the local governing authority.
