Okay, this is a debate throughout the family and hope some one can clear this up.
3 in the family have been drawn for public land permits in zone 2. We all also hunt zone 3 private land in one DMU. In the major rule and reg changes section of the hunting guide it says:

There is a season limit of 3 private land antlerless licenses per person, of which no more than 2 may be purchased for Zones 1 and 2 combined (except for the special regulation units in Zone 2).

Now does this mean that we can still purchase the 3 doe permits for the DMU that we hunt in on private land or are we allowed only 2 more for the private land since we already have a public land permit?

Thanks in advance.

You are limited to 3 PRIVATE LAND permits. So you can still get your 3 private land permits for the private land that you hunt provided it is in zone 3.

That's what I thought but I just wanted to be totally sure. I know I'll never need all of them(got 1 deer in the last 4 years) but its better to be sure.
