I started a new job in the Clarkston area and pass a few lake on the way home. I went to the DNR website to check stocking reports and noticed they plant trout/splake in Maceday. Anyone have any luck ice fishing there? We fished for splake last year up north and had a blast. Thanks.

If looking for panfish on Maceday, you must find the drop off first and then work from there. The lake map on the DNR site should help.

I have been icefishing this lake for years.(when the ice is safe)not to often!
Forget about tip-up's.
A stout rod & an airplane jig is all you need,
Thats all I can say,
get a map of the lake.
They are in there, If you know where to look.
Good Luck :)
