Fished the sharp break this AM on the US side above Alter,(look for the scum line if it is still there and get on top of it in 29') water clarity just fine sorted thru about 12 and kept five nice 3-4 pounders....lost a good sized steelhead after a ten minute fight...it spit the stinger at the net.Cruised over to Peche to check it out and it is clearing to about 18" of visibility....talked to an old timer that was handlining around the green can over there and he said he had a limit of Large ones... The rest of this week and all of next week off work...will be out as long as the wind allows it...see you in the AM!!
Water doesn't look too bad.

I got out today around 10:30 til 1:00. We fished by the GPYC in various spots. The visibility is about three feet. Seven moves and 1 perch to show for it. Sure beat workin, although my cel phone was on. Does that still count?

Just went outside at 8:35 P.M. and looking down into the water with a spot light you can see about five feet down into the dark clean water. The river bank is loaded with shinners all the way down to the Joe Louis Arena. Hope this helps.
