Purchased my bow approx 6 years ago, It was a combo package Browning, and originally setup for me shooting fingers. Well I got the bright idea to switch to a release to try to tighten up my groups a little. So I bought a release and didnt really notice much of a difference. After shooting off a couple of my vanes by shooting at the same spot with my broadheads from 20 yds I decided to get my arrows refletched. They were straight fletched before when I picked them up they had a right helical fletch. I figured the more rotation would help my broadheads fly better. Well I never changed my rest when I switched and proceeded to ruin all of my new vanes. I went to have a drop away rest installed on my bow and found out that my bow's riser doesnt have enough clearance for the vanes to clear the rest when it drops away. Purchasing a new bow is not an option at this point, so I went to a shoot thru two prong rest. I am still not convinced that there is not a clearance problem with my vanes. I am now considering going back to a straight fletch and using the quick spin vanes with my new rest. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I can still get 3-4 inch groups at 20 yds but I occasionally get a "flier" 2 or 3 inches outside of the group. Am I being too picky? I would like to get a 2 inch group at 25 yds with my broadheads in order to get my confidence back and until I do the only deer I will get will be the one painted on the target wall. Oh and by the way I am still using the "old school" aluminum arrows.

Tm hunter rest and get the refletched and specify STRAIGHT!

Problem solved;)

Save the drop away for the next bow.

Actually I am using the Gold Premium rest which has the tm hunter launcher assembly on it. Probably extreme overkill, but it was a demo and I got a good price on it. I have another question for ya, since the change and readjusting my sights, my sight pins seem to be extremely high and to the right of where they were before. I would like them to be more centered in the sight circle but have run out of adjustment on my sight mountings, suppose I need to start looking for a new sight that has more adjustment in the mounting?

If your windage has run out of adjustment, you can get longer pins.

I'm still using the "cheap" sights that came with the bow. and there is no vertical or horizontal adjustments on the sights other than the slots in the mounting holes and the pins themselves. Any recommendations on a good 3 or 5 pin sight that wont break the bank? Have a feeling that before I'm done I shoulda just went with whole new setup lol. Am considering the scrape hunter model from trophy ridge it looks like it has the adjustment I am looking for.

Even the cheap sights usually have a gang adjust.

Where the apeture meets the bracket maybe....you should be able to slide the whole thing over or up and down.

Can you post a pic of it?
