Ok I use a rip cord rest and shoot carbon express maxima 250 s with the wrapped shaft.It is a loud combination, it sounds like a turkey call!! Is there something I can do to the arrow, I dont want to put anything on the rest.I put a little oil on the arrow and it was better but cant see doing that all the time.

I like to use it with the rest pulled up so it holds my arrow before I draw and it just drags over it and its very loud. I dont want to put anything on the rest because I am hunting in the morning. I am affraid to mess with anything tonight and will be getting some mole skin tomorrow.I just bought these arrows and they are much louder than the old ones.They are the same arrows I have been using just thought there might be some trick for a quick fix on the arrows.

If you groan real loud while you draw the deer wont hear the arrow sliding on the rest ;)

Off topic question....how many pounds are you shooting and what is your arrow length???

59 lbs and the arrows are around 27 inches ,why? I can just slide the arrow over the rest with my hand and it sounds like a turkey call. The last arrows I had were loud also but not as bad and they are the same arrow.
