Is that we learn from this.

We learn to take these types of proposals as a serious threat to our way of life.
We learn to unite and speak under one voice.
We learn to give the lead to an experienced political organization like MUCC, of which all it's members are sportsmen/women.
We learn to start earlier.
We learn that people sometimes make decisions on emotions--and we can use that to our advantage.
We learn to also use rational arguements to counter the anti ads. Becky Humphries did an excellent job on MOOD, only not enough voters saw it.
We learn to use TV as our main from of advertising.
We learn to use celebrities as spokesmen.
We learn how to raise money.
We learn how to target market our advertising to the general public.
We learn to network. If every licensed hunter in Michigan could get 1 OTHER PERSON to "see the light", prop. 3 would have passed.

And finally, we learn not to let this happen again.

I think part of the problem was no advertising. I saw many anti ads On tv but not one single ad for us. In fact the only place I saw support for dove hunting was at places only hunters or fisherman would hang out ie. gandermountain, cabelas, sportsmans magazines and sights like this one but I never encountered any support outside the huning and fishing community and I think that hurt us alot. we needed to get the truth out to the uneducated majority of people who vote for whatever they see on tv. all they saw was anti propaganda and that is how they voted plain and simple. we need to counter these lies or we are doomed

I just sent out a mass e-mail with a link to every single person that I know about the situation that just happened. It also had a link so they knew that the people doing the "informing" about dove hunting in the airwaves were extremely crooked. I hope this travels web space rapidly. I can be good with words, but I didn't twist anything and gave a link to prove my point. (I'll let the crooked one's do the twisting.) Figuring that I have a gazillion names under my e-mail that knows my integrity is credit worthy, I'm sure it will be forwarded to a ton of addresses.
