Wow! Rough fishin this mornin. Launched at Blossom Heath and drove to mouth of river, both sides of Peche, with no luck! Strictly GPS navigation... couldn't see 20 yards ahead! Wouldn't have went out, but it didn't look bad at all in the canal at the launch, once you hit the open water was another story. Tried for some perch after, in front of Yacht club and closer to nine also, but again, no luck. At least I got a chance to run the fuel stabilizer through my motors and system! Another 3 dozen minnows get another chance at livin!

Ouch!-not the kind of report I was hoping to hear. I just looked at the forecast for Thursday-63 and mostly sunny with 5-10 mph winds. Sitting here at the office with some vacation days to use this year, I was thinkin' about taking tomorrow off and hitting St. Clair or Erie one last time. Now I'm not so sure. I've seen little encouraging on either the St. Clair or Erie forums. 9 mile was one of the places I might have tried. There or the lower mouth of the Detroit for perch-or off of Sterling/Stoney point for walleye and-or-perch.

How was the Water clarity??? Was thinking about going jigging tomorrow afternoon. Did you go to the Canadian side? if so what did it look like over there.

Man, the fog was thick this morning. Sorry to hear the Perch didn't cooperate. Based on the last couple days reports, I think I'll go Muskie fishing on my vacation day tomorrow. I can't believe the Perch aren't jumping in the boat this time of year. It's usually hot. For some reason I think Mitchells Bay is holding some big schools. That will be my next scouting area if the weather doesn't go to he!! :)

John, fished that general area (Mitchell's / St. Luke's) again today. Tried 11 - 16 fow, active fish in the area, too bad they were 6" - 7" fish. Lake was flat today, which usually spells trouble.:( I'm so disappointed, I think I might try the American side tomorrow.:help:

Wow, you're getting desperate! Those fish are in that area somewhere but 1 boat makes for a tough scouting venture. If the weather holds up, we'll do the tag team on them but mother nature can be cruel this time of year. Good luck if you get out soon. :) I'm definitely doing Muskie tomorrow but my comfort zone is Perch so hopefully we'll try them again soon! :) Oh BTW, sorry bucket butts but you're just going to have to wait a bit!:p ;)

I was going to run down to Delphine to handline or perch fish or both. Woke up saw the fog, went back to bed. Thought about hooking up my boat to my truck about 9, decided I'd run down to the marinas 1st. The fog had engulfed the lake. GPS equipped, I said forget it. Looks like I made the right decision. The late fall perch bite sure has been a disapointment. We caught over a hundred quite a few times on the mile roads before haul out. The only time we caught over 100 this season was when we went to Canada. And never did catch the jumbos that that side is known for. Heck, we caught perch just shy of 14" right off Fords cove. Not many, but their are some big ones there feeding on minnows & crayfish as found in their bellies.

I'm planning on going for perch tomorrow for the last time. Reports are not good. I'll start in shallow & work out off Ford's cove.
