Montec Sharpening

I have the Montecs and the G5 Montec diamond sharpening board. I am having a tough time getting them razor sharp. I have followed the directions and watched the online video and followed those directions still not as sharp as I would like. I love how these fly but want them even sharper, anyone have the same problem or any tips or tricks???

You will never get them "razor" sharp...the metal is thicker and the angle is different than on a "flat" type of blade such as a Muzzy or Thunderhead.
Don't worry....they will do the job.

After I sharpen mine on the stone.......I push them over some 1500 grit wet/dry paper. Seems to help.

I have the diamond stone from G5 to sharpen my montecs as well. It gets them plenty sharp, make a few swipes on the honing side, then switch to the fine side and lighten up on the pressure you put on the head as you go. You will never get them razor sharp like a muzzy or thunderhead as they are not a razor blade type head, but they are plenty sharp to kill any big game animal.
