Sunday Jigging Festival, And the Jesters where Walters....

Finally made it out when it wasnt raining or Windy. First spot, too Muddy (Sturgen Hole) So came back to the States. Jigged the mouth of the river starting at the Freighter Beacon, and drifting halfway down Peche Island. Did manage 5 fish for the morning, and seeing a few get caught. Beautiful day to be out, little south wind and sunny. Ran into a few M-Sers down at Alter, saw Ed Mich., and Met someone new "FireTiger". If i would have known Fire tiger before i got back to the dock, I think he could have got me my last fish. He told me he was fishing down by Rooster tail, and he caught and Released 5 fish or something in 1/2 hr. I was actually thinking about going down there, but never made it. Oh well, you dont need a limit to have a Great time on the water. Boy those fish sure where nice, the 2003 class is getting HUGE, all fish 2 to 4 lbs. 2 males, 3 females.....Wish I was out today, could have done the same, and the best part is, there is hardly any boats to contend with....

Great Job Mushy !! I haven't jigged in a while and I'm itching to get back to it....I may see thurs and friday as good candidates for vacation days to get out and do a little jigging with some fellow members!!

Mushy, I think you were trying to talk to me Sunday on the radio but you kept getting stepped on. Wish I could have heard you because we weren't doing anything by the mile roads and I was looking for a reason to take a ride down there. Even though we didn't do well I still had a great time being out with my son. Been at least a month and a half since my son and I fished together. Gotta get him out handlining!

That sucks Mike, It wasnt hot and heavy, but the fish i caught were very impressive. Thinking about Thursday, When i start feeling a little ILL. Either that or get a customer out, to justify it. Wish times were a little better, then its easy to get out on Work time.....If either of yous get out, let me know how you do....

That is my plan HL ....will be out both days and plan to hit it hard ....the winds sound like they will be perfect for jigging out of the SW...one of these times that elusive 10#er will end up in the boat...like I always tell my wife, it won't happen if I stay home!!

Dont need them, We just fish with Rubber.....Zoom Flukes, Bass Assassins, etc.
But there is a bait shop at the end of Alter Road, I know he has Emerald Shinners.
