Friday nights walleye quest

[Houghton laker]

Well had the pleasure of fishing with Mike the Elder tonight with the hopes of helping him with his handlining woes......Mission Accomplished!! We had some good laughs....I had a nice steelhead to the boat but poped off....we had quite a few other fish that managed to get off....but still put 10 nice ones in the cooler....was just a little nip out there but we were bundled up in our Mustang suits and braved that cold wind that never let up on us till we put the boat in it's well!! He said we were twins just like Arnold Swartzenager and Danny Deveto!!:lol: :lol: :rant: All in all....a great night on the water!! Now if I can just get warm!! I may run out tomorrow morning before my brick job.....or I may sleep in....jury is still out on that!!:lol:

Had a great time Friday evening fishing with HL. Learned a few little things that I might have come up with myself in about one and a half more lifetimes.:lol: There's nothing like fishing with someone who can teach you some of the little tricks. Thanks again Kevin.

Took me longer than it should have to clean them. I'm a little rusty. Still didn't pull out the electric knife. Cutting the slabs off doesn't take too long. It's the skinning and boning that takes me forever. Once I put 10 or 20 lbs. of fillets in the freezer maybe I won't be so neat.

Boy we sure had quite a few that came unbuttoned. That Steelie would have been the icing on the cake Kevin.

The only other boat out there was FishEater and his buddy Jim. I think they stayed long enough to limit out.

Thats cool Mike, I havent known Kevin all that long and he is one heck of a nice guy.. Mike like you said once you start catching a bunch of them walleye you wont be able to get over how fast you can clean a walleye with a electric knife, I think it takes me like a 60 seconds per fish if that..

I am siting here listening to Bob bowers outdoor world because Ken "NINJA" is going to be on the show today talking about purposal 3 with Bob and gang..
