It's very difficult to recommend a bow for you, not knowing your size, shooting style, yada yada. Best to go and shoot some of the new Brownings and see for yourself what you like. The new Illusion is a butt-kicker but it is costly($600-700). I have shot the F5 Tornado and it is alot of bow for the price. Smooth, quiet, and forgiving. Lets face it, doesn't matter what bow you decide on, it's actually the arrow that matters. Get the very best arrows that you can afford, topped with some good quality hunting heads.

I shoot a Wheeler and love the bow but trying to contact them anytime off season is like pulling teeth from a grizzly

I bowhunted this year for the first time since 1968. Never have had time to do both bow and gun until this year.
I bought the Browning Illusion kit from Cabelas for around $800.
It is a magical tool. Shooting it is like nothing happened. No sensation, vibration, nothing!
It took me only a few practice shots to get pretty accurate to 30 yards. After that, deteriorates fast. I have it set to 50 lb. and 27" and that is about all I can handle smoothly.
Had a shot within one hour in the stand. Arrow flew very straight but just a bit low and I creased the brisket of the buck standing about 25 yds. away facing me.
Watched him slowly limp accross the field. No blood, no nothing. I only needed it 4 inches higher!
Good luck. If you can afford it, try this Browning.
