The Reverse Energy Bow? My boss has one, he is having all sorts of problems with accuracy. Any tricks or tweecks out there to try?

I've seen that on TV. It actually shoots backwards from a regular bow. I mean, you draw the strings from the direction of the cams toward the riser. Weird...

How could he not have accuracy problems? look at that bow(13"ata?aprox) there is a reason why competition shooters continue to shoot 38-40+ inch bows. why dont you hand your boss a slignshot. I shoot a 27-28" high country and have asked the same questions recently. that bow is short, the tourque of a wrist, the lightest shake, bingo you have a miss.yoda(much prctice you will need with that bow. accuracy you will have......much practice you will need before.

Well, I'm not an engineer, but unfortunately I have to work with alot of them. I would say that a major hindsight of that bow design is that it's WAY TO SHORT!!! That would make it really unforgiving and torquey. (Not sure if I spelled that one right.)

Are you guys serious? No one has even heard of that thing??
It works completly opposite of your traditional compound bow, Im not sure that you can use those theories for this case. Thansk for your input thoguh

After looking at that thing I'm almost confused at how to shoot it.You say that you would pull towards the riser? But wouldn't that make your nock point in the picture backwards? Also what do you hold it by? that funny looking handle on the side? What is the center tube, slide duamahicker for? Not really trying to make fun of this but it almost resembles an attempt to use a crossbow as a bow and just do it backwards so it would not be considered a cross bow. :dizzy: Any links to this so maybe some of my questions could be answered. :tdo12:

Yes that is the handle on the side. The string pulls toward the riser. It is really neat to see it.
I really like the compact size, it makes stalk hunting much easier. You can walk with it a full draw. You just wrap the string on the release around that round knob on the left side of the pic and walk.
Here is the only website I can find on it.

He wonders why he has tuning and accuracy problems, it looks like the brace hgt. is about 4"(well in theory anyway, were it should be), I hope he gets it squared away before he trys to harvest something with it.

shawner what the heck is that thing man. Haha tell him to trade it back in. j/w how much do those things cost. probably should have shot some arrows off of that thing before buying it. What types of things are they coming out with these days. I mean i can see on the whole stalking threw corn thing with that... that aspect is kind of neat i guess... but still bow hunting is supposed to be a challenge... that thing reminds me of the draw lok bows not to talk those down either... some people need them... older gentleman, ladies, or people who frequently get buck fever? Come along way from traditional stick and string thats for sure... i cant say anything because i went from shooting deer with a longbow, then to a recurve and now to a compound, and i go between that in my recurve some seasons.... I would say he should ask the dealers of that thing and tell them what types of problems he is having with it.... i would think something shiny like that might need a little spray paint before it heads to the woods... deer might see it and laugh haha ok that was a little harsh. but i think they would at least see the shinny metal!... just some thoughts, and opinions.~Hawk

Craig, The one he has is all flat black. No shineyness to his. :)
I seriously dont think you can use tradition theories on this bow, it in no way works the same. So the comments about riser hieght dont apply to me.
Also since I posted this he has goten things settled down shooting nice groups at 20 yards and harvested a nice doe with it.Thanks guys.

well practice makes perfect... you shoot something enough you get to know it better. cant complain about something that got the job done..... i guess

I've looked at the "how it's shot" picture. Am I correct that there is no rear sight? It just has a front sight and relys on form and anchor to align the rear of the bow?
Since everything is reversed, I was hoping to see the broadhead facing toward the shooter, but they didn't reverse that part, too bad. ;)

It's for Minnie Me! Okay, let's not bash it up to bad until we've had a chance to break it.

Well, I checked out the site, but they don't have any video footage. It's weird, but hey if it works it's cool by me. The weird inventions are the cool ones.:)

I guess if it works and you practice enough to be proficient at it then go for it. But I really think its ugly.

No bashing here. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to new innovations. I'm sure when someone saw the first compound bow they had some of the same reactions. Look how far the arrow itself has come with the intro of Carbon.
