The bait site in question is directly on M-82 near Newaygo from Spruce to town. A farm truck carrying shelled corn was loosing some of its harvest. This should be deadly for tree rats, coons, deer, and anything else that likes corn.:yikes:

I would set a stand up in the shoulder ASAP!!:lol:

Hmmm, I wonder who the DNR can fine, the truck driver, the company he drives for, or MDOT?

Hopefully no humans get run over trying to pick up free bait!!

no one. It is not baiting. The truck driver was not putting the corn there with the intention of actracting deer.

I think he was joking ;)

I am surprised that there are any deer left in that area, the large farm at the corner of 82 and warner has permits and have been shooting all year .I have been there probably 20 times through the summer and heard shots nearly every day that I was there.:rant:

He is talking by Newaygo I believe the farm you are talking about is by Fremont.

I can see it now....both sides of the road lined with tree stands 10 yards apart and the Beverly Hillbillys stopping to scrape grinners off the road for opposum belly stew....
