The creek I am trapping has quite a bit of otter sign. I am not targeting them and don't have any conis big enough for them.

Do you think a piece of wire will be enough to stop a otter from dragging off my 110? I usually put a stake through the hole in the coni and then wire it down to something, but will this be enough?

Thanks!

Otters shouldn't be a problem in you 110's. Wiring them off should be sufficient. The chances of an otter getting his head into a 110 set for rats or mink are pretty slim. I would wire off to something solid to ease your mind (it's a good idea anyways) and go about your trapping.

Alright thanks Joe, I trap a little creek and make a lot of blind sets and suspect a otter has knocked a few of my sets.
Thanks!

Don't think you have to worry about otter in a 110 it wouldn't hold them most likely! But yeah it would be a good idea to wire them.
