Just look for one that's comfortable, waterproof, and rated for -100 below or better. I have a pair of artic cat boots that have provided much warmth and protection for years...

I own a pair of those Gov surplus white Mickey Mouse Boots.
They suck to walk in very far but man they are warm for sitting.

I have a pair of LaCross snowmen...very warm but they are bulky like the Mickey Mouse boots...you can buy the Mickies cheaper...You can adjust the shifter on the Quad to accomodate the larger boot...That's what I did.....

Mickeys are nice, but Ive went through a pair each year. They don't last. Mine cracked on the seams. But when theyre in good shape, theyre very warm.
I bought lacrosse icemans last year. Bulky and heavy but again very warm, and show no sign of wear.

Do I sound like an un-refined ice guy angler if I say that I have used for the last few years an old school pair of Sorels. I use smart-wool socks and have no probs.

It ain't about looks all the time. It's about being smart, warm and dry is where it counts ! Them "mickeys" look like hell but they work for a bunch of folks.
I use a pair of Sorels also gmalicoat. I've had them about seven years now. 14" tall, 100 % rubber, removable foot bed system with a 14mm felt pac bootie that has NEVER allowed my feet to get cold. For the life of me I do not remember the name or model (I'll have to do a search for them). Outstanding boots !!! :D Bring on the ice. :fish:

I've got a pair of these Wolverines.

The price on the Wolverine site seems high, I got mine on sale for $99.00 at Dick's three years ago and they rock! Quite comfortably I can walk in the woods, sit in the stand, stand on ice, ride and shift the quad. I even use them for snowmobiling! One pair of light thin silk socks, one pair of HD wools and I'm good all day long!

I've got black Mickey's and their great. I use mine for ice fishing and late deer season. They do kind of suck walking in them but I just walk alittle slower with them on which is good for stalking during the muzzle loader season.

I bought a pair of the Snow Squall 1200's from Cabela's for this season. Can't wait to use them. I also bought some of the insole warmers that slide into your boots. Only $2 per pair at Dollar General.
