Well finally made it out, I think someone upstairs has it out for me. Plan a trip with a customer to do some Handling and Jigging. Wake up, little rain and wind, no problem, lets go fishing. Talked to my neighbor, he said the lake was crystal clear yesterday. Off we go, rain starts pouring, wind increases, all the sudden the river is pure POOP water. Needless to say, we didnt get a nibble, off the water by 10:30. Story of my life.....Woeisme.....Maybe next time....

Sounds like my luck is spreading!! Left the boat hooked up hoping to go out this evening but it looks like everything is going to get a lot worse!!!
Here's hopin' for next week!

It sure was a miserable morning. Hauled my boat out. Saw the waves crashing on the pier at Blossom Heath. 5-8 footers predicted tomorrow afternoon. Will take a long time to clean up after a blow like that. They say wind may exceed 60 mph! The only good it will do is hopefully lessen my workload on the leaves.

Wasn't on LSC but managed a few hours on a little lake today. Just kept raining harder & harder as the day went on. I'm sure the people looking out their window at me knew I had to be insane. Caught a few fish, though. :D

I hear you MUSHY 1, if we can just get a break with the rain, offshore fishing might be good tonight. It seems that I've had the best success from shore with a good W. wind. I'm fortunate enough to have a friend between P.H and Marsville that allows me to fish off his seawall. I'm only a 1/4 mile down from Mermaid Park in Maryville, located close to the Edison Plant. If the wife plays cards with the relatives tonight maybe I'll give it a try tonight. From the more experienced fishermen that I've talked with last fall has been alot better(from shore). The smaller fish seem to be coming in, and according to them, this may be the end??? I'm new at this, so I'm hoping the run is just starting. If not, the weather is indicating that we might have ice prior to Christmas. I'll let you know how I do. by the way a pink jig w/a white Culprit cut down to 3.5" seems to be their favorite. Good luck to all.
