Hey All,
Did anyone else see some skim ice on their local fishing hole this morning? Up here on the lake on live on, it's about 30 acres, 20ft deep, there was about 15 feet of ice around the edges! Won't be long!!!!!

Dont get your hopes up. Last year we had ice realy early on Lake St Clair, the ealyest I've ever seen. It was all gone by xmas.

No WAY!!! Not even close here in Northern IL. We had a few cold nights but it was only 40's here last night. Last year was sure boring. Only 3 days out on the ice. All in December.

NO WAY!!! Not even close here in Northern, IL. It was cold a week ago but it was only in the 40's last night. Last year was boring. I only got 3 days on the ice. All in December, too.

last year the first ice fishing i did was on December 8.
on a small pond, northern ohio.
and in 3 weeks it was over for the year!
anything can happen. it was a real warm fall too last year. not like this year.

Mild El Nino Sets Us Up For A Normal (whatever That Is Anymore) Winter. Long Term Is For Jet To Drop Down Right Over Lake Michigan (snow) And Stay That Way For Most Of The Winter. So If We Can Dodge The Wind (lake Effect Snow) Ice Should Be Good This Year. Too Bad Mn, Wi. Good Michigan
