Seems as though I remember someone talking about having a 5lb. propane with some type of tubing to "pipe" heat into the shanty. Does anyone do this and what exactly do you need for this? (and I'm not buying a Mr. Buddy heater or whatever it is)

went to Walmarts in the camping section and bought a 6 or 8 foot hose that fits the propane tank and the other end fits the My Buddy heater. Works great! Try to keep the tank sheltered as much as possible to keep the liquid propane from freezing. Hope this answers you question.

a friend uses a homemade portable with wood end walls sets 20lb tank, with Mr. Heater mounted on top, outside shanty. uses stove pipe same size as heater head to bring heat through wall. no more flame inside to burn your line, gloves, etc. btw he put a battery poweder fan in oppisite wall at the top. plenty of heat and more room

TENT HEATER HAS SOME POTENTIAL. IS IT GOING TO WORK IN THE WIND?

WHO HAS SOME IDEAS FOR KEEPING TANK WARM? MAYBE PIPE SOME OF THE HEAT DOWN TO A ENCLOSURE AROUND TANK. WHAT DO YOU GUYS WITH PERMANENT SHANTIES DO? HELL MY BOTTLE FOR MY HEATER HAS PROBLEMS INSIDE MY FISHTRAP, I HAVE TO USE THE LANTERN ON COLD DAYS TO WARM IT UP. CAN YOU SAY "BOOM"

THIS IS GETTING HEAVY:dizzy:

Quit being so cranky HONNEY, Mr. Buddy heaters ROCK! and their priced fairly, I bought mine at menards for $69.95. Outside of my new Fishtrap Guide, best ice fishing equipment one could buy, ok snowmobile before Mr buddy. Hey I am getting lazy and whimpy in my old age:gaga:

Umm,, that's one reason I'm not buying a Mr. Buddy.

Anyway,, I'm just trying to create more space,,, its tough with 4 lines and 2 lanterns. One lantern is plenty for the light but not enough for the heat. I'll check out zodi.
