This is a repost because when I tried to renew the ad I accidentally deleted it, so I've updated it. I also deleted the posts with questions, so please either repost your questions, PM or email me.

This add is for the boat & blind only. With the first ad I had some inquiries about the motor as well and that is available if interested. I would like to trade the boat & blind for something of equal value or sell it outright for $400 or best offer. The boat has fore / aft running lights, 12 volt outlets and a hard mounted bilge. The lights & bilge are wired to a switch box. All the wiring, outlets and bilge are 2 seasons old. There is also a bracket on the front for a removable light pole and a small 12 volt light to hang from it during early morning set-ups. The boat also has 4 brackets mounted for stabilizing poles. The boat no longer has fast grass on it, I switched it to burlap last fall so I could ghillie camo it. The boat is currently at my cabin in Alpena but can be brought to my home in Macomb twp.

The previous owner added a wood riser to the transom to raise the engine, I used my short shaft 18 hp Merc. on it with no problems. As off last fall, it had no leaks.

If interested in the motor, it is a 1982 18hp Mercury short shaft. For preventative maintenance in 2004 I had the lower end gone through. I had the service center replace the water pump, prop shaft, seal kit & roller bearing. There are also 2 props, one has been reconditioned. I used to use a metal gas tank until debris from it screwed up the carb. a couple months ago. I then found a original NEW (not rebuilt) carb. in Massachusetts and had it installed, the motor starts on the 2nd pull. The compression was checked and is good. Since 2004 I have $1,130 in new parts & labor invested into the engine alone. I have all the receipts for verification.

Again, I'll trade for the boat & blind or the whole package. Boat & blind= $400, equal trade or best offer. Boat, Blind & motor= $1,600 or trade for either a mud motor or newer short shaft 25hp out board for my new duck boat. NOTE: I will make up any difference out of my pocket for the right motor.

This is a long add, but the more info I can provide should answer some questions up front. - See More Here: http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=5050

How heavy is the boat?

I'm looking for a lightweight boat to put my 15hp on for the wife to tool around our lake.

Dead Bird-
The registration says K-Mart which I think at one time sold Meyers. The boat has been painted, and I never really looked around it for a manufacturers tag. I was planning on going north to winterize my place in Alpena either this upcoming weekend or the next... depends on the weather and possibility of freezing pipes. BTW, I am a design engineer for a GM supplier and worked on the GMT 900 with Intier in Pontiac... we may have crossed paths at one time.
Let me know what your time table is.

Safetyman-
Light weight how? If you're asking if the 15 hp will move the boat good, that will not be a problem. My 18 hp will move it over 20 mph. Last year I had 3 guys a bag of decoys and a dog and my motor did fine. Is your 15 a shorty or long shaft?

So is my 18. The reason I ask is because as my post states, there is a wood riser added to the transom that raises the engine so you can get deeper into the marsh without pushing mud. The only drawback is that if you hit big enough waves while on plane the prop will suck air and you'll need to throttle down. If you don't hunt the shallows then just cut the riser back down to it's original height.

If you don't hunt then you probally shouldn't buy this boat. The blind works good and I put to much work into it for it to go unused. A name brand blind like this costs $600. I'm only going into details like this because I don't want any suprises when I do haul it down from Alpena and it starts taking up garage space. If you or anyone else is still interested, then please ask any questions you might have.

My last trip up north that I could haul it back will be rifle season, and then that's it until spring. This is a good starter boat for a duck huinter or anyone on a low budget. It worked for me until I could upgrade
