Wondered if theres any interest in a Ice Fishing club in West Mich?
A way to check out new lakes, tech./ tackle, reports ect..

Sounds interesting. What ya got in mind?. And a outing up to Ludville to Hamlin to fish with LMF would be great.

Open to suggestions. We could have a pre-ice M-N-G somewhere? Example: Gun Lake area watering hole like Daisy Mays or the little Shelbyville bar?, Grand Rapids area BW3 28th street or 36th street sports lounge?, Wayland Bar?,
Bring along any ice fishing stuff you might want to sell/swap? If enuogh interest we could plan on placing a bulk live bait order and maybe jig order?
Maybe have the MNG in the next week or two?
Lets get some input from those that will attend.

gun lake area sounds great! i have a coupple frends that are part of this form that i know will be intresed soo count them in! some time around first ice we should have an outing on Gun ill do all the scouting to put us on some fish!;).........i dont quite know what you mean by the bulk bait and jig order but i know every one down at gillets like family soo i could help us out there.

Bulk bait is when you mail order thousands of waxies and spikes. You save $ this way.

yeah good call wasent thinkin about safty im just ready to fish!!!:lol:.....if you guys want i can see what rosie will do for us she can help us out with large orders of jigs/bait at a good price hopefuly!;)

I would be interested. I don't know about buying bait in bulk though. I almost did that last year and I'm glad I didn't. I only got out twice.

Sounds like fun, but am not in good shape to make commitments. FT work, PT school, kids all add up to pretty much doing things on the fly!

Boy, you can sure tell that it's getting colder around here!

Sounds like a fun time to me! If it's not too far from here I would be interested and may have a few people that would come as well. I am just not sure where the heck Gun Lake is. I am down by Cassopolis MI.

As far as the bulk bait goes, I don't have the interest in bait sice I DON'T use bait at all unless I'm fishing tip-ups for pike. Why reach in and out of your coat all day to bait a hook?

Fellow Fishers, Sounds like a great idea sharing information and getting together a few weekends a month. Wife and I fish several lakes in the Sturgis, Jones, Colon area and usually do well. Keep us posted on any news regarding a get-to-gether.

The bulk bait thing was just a suggestion for the many things that could be talked about at a M-N-G. The Gun lake area is probally "about" 10 miles East of US131 between Wayland and Plainwell. Its kinda a middle ground for those down south and those near Grand Rapids. The Gun Lake area has alot of lakes besides Gun Lake itself.
I'll throw some dates/times out in a couple of weeks as we get a little closer to ice.
