I bought a pack of Muzzy 3 blades the other day and am having a hell of a time putting them together. I can get the the first blade in and then the directions don't make any sense.
Any tips or does anyone have the time to walk/type me through putting them together?
Thanks in advance.
It's not that hard, you just have to make sure that you hold the one that's in place over far enough that the one next to it will slide in easier. Oh yeah, you do know that the tip is supposed to be screwed off before your putting the blades in?
I helped a kid put his Thunderheads together and those about got me frustrated, the blades kept falling out on me, I'd get two in and when I'd go to put the third one in the other two would fall out. I'm hoping he gets a deer tonight, because I want to see what kind of damage those do.

That's what I generally shoot and they are a snap to assemble.
I put each blade in the same slot correct? How do they all get into the 3 slots on the shaft of the broadhead? And yes, the tip is off.
There are three slots, each blade is kind of like a lopsided V with the sharp blade being one side of the V and a smaller nub being the other, the nub get slid into one slot, and the blade gets slid into the one next to it, then the next blade that goes in, the nub goes into the same slot as the last "blade" and so on. It's easier to show, then to explain. Each slot will end up with a blade and the nub of the one next to it. Like I said, you have to push the blade over a little to get the nub of the other one to slide into the same slot. Once in, it is a very tight fit, when all are in place screw that tank of a tip on and it locks them all in place.

There are 3 slots, a razor comes out of each slot and the tang (bent stub opposite of razor edge) goes in the slot next to where the blade comes out. So each slot will have a razor coming out and a tang hidden in the ferrule. Slide the blade down from the removed tip, blade in one slop short tang in another. Then do the same thing but the second blade must go over the tang of the 1st blade.

Thanks guys. I'll give it another go tonight...hoping to use one tomorrow night:D
I have been trying to use the instructions that came w/ the broadheads (same as the link Sib posted), but the typed instructions from DTG and Sib make a bit more sense.
please let me know if they fly out of you bow the same as field points, without any adjustment to the sites. Mine always went to the left about4-6" and up a tad, but did so consistantly.

That makes me nervous...never had much of a differance at all between my field points and Thunderheads.

Go figure that Notre Dame, can't put his broadhead together. Just kiddin they go together pretty easy but been using them for years.

Not trying to make you nervous, just shoot a few before you take aim at a deer, would hate to hear how well they tore through the deer's guts.
The 100 gr. three blades fly the same as the field tips out of my bow, but the four blades do not.

I had to tune my switchback to my muzzys, at first I was 6 inches high and about the same to the left, I had similar experiences with my daughters hoyt. I have not gotten my sons lx to the point where he's comfortable enough so he is shooting the small heads or exspandables.
