I am in need of a new arrow rest. Was looking for some input on what works best for other hunters? I am not a big fan of the whisker biscuit, I would like to stay with a drop away.

NicksKnack,
I just bought the RipCord arrow rest ($74) before the season and I really like it so far. Their site is www.ripcordarrowrest.com That top bar comes in handy for keeping the arrow on the rest. I wrapped both plastic pieces with mole skin. It is really quiet.
One thing to note, this rest will come back up if it's in the down position and you pull your bow back. Some of the drop aways don't do that.
There is another rest that comes with the wrapping already on it$$$. I think it's QAD ultra rest.
Good luck to ya.

Hey,
One other thing. You can go odd feather up until you put that bar on to hunt. I had to offset my odd feather to the right to clear the bar and the arrow rest in the down position.
Have any others had to do this?
Later.

Hello, just posted this morning on a rest I saw on the internet, (on the whisker bisket thread). Looks interesting as all get out. Never used it myself, just getting back into the sport. If your interested though, check it out

S'posedly No more fletch problems no matter what type and will not slow down the arrow as the only thing touching the arrow, other than the string at the nock, is air. Watch the video, pretty interesting..

Kind of a neat idea, But I wouldn't want the extra weight, (50 gr. per Magnetic incert) That's alot of speed loss. They say it's only 20 more gr. than an aluminum insert which is 30 gr. but a carbon incert is only 5 gr.

I guess that's true, guess depends on how fast the bow shoots. Might give some good penetration though.. Some folks like extra heft..

I've shot with mine for a few months and am very happy with it. I was using a quicktune 2000 by NAP, but I switched because I wanted to use my own cable slide.

I've bought one in july, works great. :)
I have a TT Shaky hunter on mine and love it. It's the best I have used. My father in-law and brother in-law just bought new bows and had drop zones put on thiers and they are awesome also.

I like the QAD Ultra Rest. Works well with my outfit.
One more vote for the trophy taker shakey hunter. Got it off ebay a couple of months ago for $52 shipped. Great price. Very happy with it.
The ultra rest caught my eye, but being the frugal person that I am, the price was a little steep.
