Ice fishing! Yuck, no way! Well, maybe if one of you guys puts something together there may be another mod to see things your way. ;)

Oh Yeah???? Put together an outing somewhere. When Paul gets tired of fishing the canals at Metro he'll say "Hey Dad, can you take me to this outing?" I can't picture John saying no.:lol:

I dont think John goes ice fishing because he needs some time to deplete the freezer full of perch he has in his house. :)

I go every year just to remind myself how much I dislike it! You drag all that crap out there, auger multiple holes and get set-up. You rarely hit a good spot to start so it’s time to drag the stuff to a different spot and start over. The worst part is I have 2 shanties, heaters, numerous rods/reels baits, spears, 4 wheeler, etc etc. Maybe if I ever caught a nice bucket of Perch I would think differently but I’m usually lucky to get a dinner of Perch that in the fall would be throwbacks! :(

Gone Fishing, that pretty much sounds like my typical day on the ice. But for some strange reason, I love it! :chillin:

If you guys would try fishing the Queens side of St.Clair and Simcoe, you wouldnt have that problem. Always (most of the time) find 50 that go into the Bucket.
