Hey ---I know it probably doesn't make that big of a difference...but the pinholes along my seams drive me nuts...was wondering if anyone has tried filling those---and what has failed or worked....

Just thought it may help my favorite---VISION FISHING>.....love to sit and watch

i have them too but they dont bother me. how about some duct tape. maybe you could find some black tape. also i think some people put flags over the roof of their shanty. also bring a small plastic snow shovel along and clear all the snow around the outside of the shanty. it lets more light in and brightens things up below the ice. you probably already knew that though.

i would look at the different kinds of tape at the hardware store and buy some kind of flexible black tape for the seams though if it bothers you.

I like em, they swap out the air my &*^ has stanked up in the shack.

Although the bad ones were fixed with duct tape. It lasts a whole season at least.

Man I am sorry to say this, but everytime I look at the title of this post, "Pinholes In My Shanty," I think it's the name of a country song!

pinholes in my shanty
ice building in my hole
getting tipsy on propane fumes
love the ice fishing

Pinholes in my shanty,
Big hole in my heart.
My girl don't fish with me anymore.
Because of how much I ....

Here we go again......

Pinholes in my shanty
so many fish can't carry em
When the sun shines through with a sky of blue
looks like a planetarium

Pinholes in my shanty,
numbness growing in the toes,
perch taking bait like candy,
no sleeves left to blow my nose.

Ahh the light that peeks through the dark encasing,
shimmering ice hides the fish below,
why won't my camera stop spinning,
round and round.........it stops? No one knows.

Ok you urban cowboys don't quit your day jobs.....LOL....as far as the pinhole go,maybe you could rub the seams down with a dark unscented wax of some kind.
