Hey guys--

I am in Lansing this winter and I am looking for some hard water action. I have a two man shanty, portable fishfinder and GPS and just wondering who might be interested in chasing some fish this winter. I am heavy on gear and light on local info.

Hey there,

I wouldn't say I'm heavy on either, but I'm willing to come with or help out whenever possible. We did quite a bit of ice fishing last year and I got a pretty good feel for the area.

Drop me a line/PM sometime and we'll see what we can scare up.

Been fishing this area for twenty years, would love to be part of the adventure.
Lwapo....have we ever met?
I am sure we can also arrange an outing or two, so you can meet other local hardwater fanatics as well.
Let's keep in touch...

sounds like a plan, I would love to hook up and fish around lansing. (I'm going to school at LCC.) I have fished Lake Lansing for quite a few years, and Sleepy Hollow my whole life.

Keep me posted

If you hardwater crazy fans from the Lansing area do decide to head out to the Washtenaw Area - Waterloo or Pincney areas - drop me a note...tons of lakes out there that I'm dying to try this winter!

Count me in as well guys. I'd love to have an outing in the Lansing area... though we'd have to find a lake with some ice!

I spent most of last winter at Crystal Lake in Montcalm county. Made it to Muskrat a few times and that was about it.

I've already been getting the stuff out and organized in prep for this winter. Had a great time last year and can't wait to hit er again this year.

Anyone wanting to head out should just drop me a line, I'm easily conviced to head out :)

If you guys decide to head to the Irish Hills area one weekend let me know. I have a few spots that I fish that are killer and I am willing to share! When we have good ice years, I fish out there 4 days a week on average.

Thought it would be cool to get together with other icers in the Lansing area, so I posted a suggestion for a Lansing-area MNG in the outing forum.....

Hey count me in! I live south of Lansing and am familar with the Waterloo Area. Lots of good lakes there. Cold weather is coming!!! We should have fishable ice for February. Pick a date and place. I'll come I'm fish hungry. Someone should organize this.

Gonna try again to get together at a local watering hole. Maybe plan an ice outing. Check the Outings forum:)
BTW: Judging by the weather forecast, I am anticipating fishable ice in our area for the last week of the month. I am also anticipating zillions of guys out fishing, so I am taking some vacation time on Jan 24-26 and (Good Lord willin' and the temps don't rise) will be fishing SOMEWHERE between Hillsdale and Houghton Lake. Would love to hook up with anyone else who is available on any of those days: maybe an Outing so we can swap lies at the February MnG :D!
