If it is the South Lake off Joslin Lake Rd. north of N. Territorial, I used to fish that lake quite often years ago with my small boat but haven't tried it in a long time. It is a State Park launch and you will need a sticker. There were lots of bass and panfish and lots of nice humps. Quiet remote lake, we saw deer out there all the time. But be careful I lost my car stereo when the lot was full and I had to park along the woods. Try this site.

South Lake is an interesting lake to fish. I have fished there twice, and once was not very productive. Here's what I've learned:
1) Boat control near the weedbeds next to the sharp dropoffs is critical, and made difficult with the lightest of winds because of the size of the lake. One minute you'll be in 10 fow, and the next 40 fow.
2) If you're looking for gills, I saw an old man out there once with two old women. They hammered the gills using slip bobber rigs
3) There are some sweet pike in the Lake. I got one dropshotting a pink/black Yum worm on a big red hook. I'm sure the usual tactics will produce.
4) The two smaller lobes haven't produced for me; but I'm curious to find out what's in those depths.
Good luck out there, and if you go, post a report.

Its been a few years since I have been on the lake. I have fished it both from a boat and through the ice many times on each. Only a couple of times have we tore them up and that was gills. We go back because of one pike that was hooked on a tip up, fought valently and was coming up the hole when it got stuck and then the steel leader broke the fish went back down. That will bring me back for years to come. But every time since it has been a yawner. Pretty lake though. It used to get a lot of people ice fishing it.
