last evening, it was a nice doe...she came in about 15 minutes after i sat down all by herself. I was in a mess of branches from a fallen tree. she stopped on her way to me, and I thought she was gonna turn and go away, but when i least expected it, she turned and came right towards me. she followed a runway that ran by my improvised blind, and I made the shot at 18 yards. the arrow entered her just behind the front shoulder and exited a little further back as she was slightly quartering towards me. when it hit her, she spun and the arrow fell on the ground. she bolted across a small grassy field, and went about 40 yds into some real thick black berry and fallen trees, and she was done. she went a total of about 120 yds. we guessed her to be about 160# I'll try and post some pics later today.
