This is my first yr bow hunting have great success during gun and muzzleloading season but cant figure out this early stuff. Let me start off by telling you a little bit . Have seen 16 bucks over 6 2 are full baskets i hunt 100acres 2 swamps now i know where they are coming from and have tracked them to a point . But they only show them selfs after about 10pm and thats it.Saterday we came back to the property and ran into the old man was 15 point at one time on the 2track this deer is the oldest on the property we see him every yr .Hes getting grey like me he has 7on 1side and 5 on the other hes a smart old man .the land owner next to mine has 290acs and we get to gether and talk about how nocturnal these guys are weve seen them but only in the summer monthes. So my question is how do i make them show themselfs in the morning or daylight hrs ? We have food plots through out the property around the swamps. Can someone give me a little advice i feel like i am missing something .:help: :help:

If they are truely nocturnal and you're not tipping them off with your presence you need to get your buck:doe ratio closer to encourage older bucks to move for the available does during daylight hours.
If you're not seeing them this time of year you're probably not hunting near their bedding area, which is tricky and requires a tremendous amount of stealth to see them on a consistent basis.
If you're hunting on the food plots your odds of seeing, much less killing, mature bucks dwindle considerably. Try setting up between food plots and bedding areas and pay attention to the wind and your entry/exit routes.

Thank you for the info and will check it out and yes we have a couple of blinds at 3 of the plots or at 50 yrs from them.
