I wasn't in a hurry and it was just myself. I launched about 10:30 and fished to around 1:30. Got 4 walleye, 2 keepers around 18" and 19". Missed alot of fish as I was fishing 2 rods and trying to keep the boat on coarse. 3/4 fish came on a black sparkled crawler harness. I got back to the launch to see that my right trailer bunk must have some how came off...So I had to be a little inventive at the ramp. I'm sure I gave everyone some laughs. Oh well, it's now on a new bunk....

Hello Nittany Doug,

I appreciate the specifics on how you caught your fish. Now.. could you please tell me exactly where you caught them, including GPS coordinates?

Just kidding!

Great work on the walleye, maybe we can go fishing again sometime soon!

It was a pretty good day for the couple of hours I spent out there. There were alot of people around the sunken roadway. I still haven't gotten anything out of there. Maybe I should have tried that too.

ND - assuming you launched at Ford Lake Park, did you notice if they're still posting someone at the entrance or are they done with that for the year?

I'm toying with the idea of hitting up Ford one more time during softwater season, not sure if I want to cough up another $8 though as I've had more bad luck than good this year there....

They were gone! The same DNR guy is there. He launched right next to me and didn't ask me a thing. I saw him later heading up toward Visteon/Eagle Crest but I never saw him stop with anyone. Is he a CO? He doesn't dress and/or pack like most CO's I've seen.

Maybe it was a park ranger, perhaps he was going over to that island to empty the waste basket. :)

I think they don't check/require park passes between October and April, and that's probably the case since you didn't see anyone yesterday. Thanks for the info.

He's checked our catches before. Asked to see jackets, etc. I had the sheriff give me a time at the launch there this summer. Our boat had the old registrations on it. He could have stopped me before the trailer was in the water and I was about to unhook it....
