Took the boat out today for the maiden voyage. Man o man do i respect you guys for knowing how to back up a boat! That is tough. I tried it 3 or 4 times then another boat came so I let my dad do it. We went straight over to Edison Lake and didn't do much. We fished the whole canal all the way to the back of it. We found a bush in the water way way back there. I pulled 2 bass off of it one 15" and one 14". We continued to try with no action so we moved to the main lake. My dad caught one little crappie on steep drop off and i caught one more small bass (11") off of a point. Nothing great but not a bad way to start out with a new boat! All 3 bass came on the same white spinnerbait as last weeks fish. Shad were EVERY WHERE. It got really annoying hearing them splash on the surface. Nothing seemed to be chasing them though...
