Fellow Fishers, Wife and I are planing to fish Wampler Lake near Brooklyn this Sunday, weather permiting. Never fished there before, can anyone please give me some suggestions on where to fish for some bluegills and maybe a walleye for a bonus? What is the best baits or lures? Any help is deeply appreciated. Gene Wellman

I know that durring the summer we fished the lake on both sides of the state park as well as Round Lake under the overpass you need a smaller boat to get under it though but there are alot a panfish there. You can also launch from inside the campground to get to Round Lk. There are good numbers of Bass also. I also used wax worms for the panfish and did pretty well. I have not caught an eye out there as of yet

Good Luck

for walleyes look for the deeper point and breaks on the out side weededge durning mid day early and late go shallow from the deep water until you find them. Now on the panfish, not going to give you GPS spots, have to keep my tourney spot hus hus but look for broadleaf cabbage for gaint redears that lake has many of them over the 10 inch mark, I have pulled 8 in one day that would have went about 8 to 9 pounds, yes I said pounds. I was sight fishing throught the ice that day lol.
