Hey guys, I have 2 woodcock and a rabbit that I am going to cook up tomorrow but I have no idea how. I need a simple recipe because I am in college and done have access to many cooking tools. I know rabbit is good in a crock pot but I do not have access to one. Can I fry them? Give me the simplest thing you got.
Thanks, Matt

Clean'em good. All hair and BBs must be out. Every BB hole has a fingernail size chunk of hair/feathers in the hole......slice it open and gett'er out.
Then roll in flour and fry s-l-o-w-l-y in butter. Don't cook it fast and hot or you'll be eating shoe leather.

So how low of heat are you talking?

Just so the grease is barely bubbling. On a electic stove, about 225.

My wife likes to use this on squirrel as well as rabbit. She uses her castiron pan, browns the meat first in butter then cuts up apple and onion and then puts it in with the meat. Then she puts it in the oven on low heat (not sure how low) and then cooks it for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on how much is in there. WOW!! Its awesome!!
