Hey everyone,

My buddy and I are planning a weekend campout/fishing trip at either Appleton Lake in Brighton Rec or Crooked Lake in Pinckney. Which lake is the better all around fishing lake? We're going to make our decision on the fishing quality.

Thanks!

I've not camped at appleton, but crooked is sweet. it is a chain of 3 lakes and that produces some decent fish.

I'd got to pinckney rec area. You have access to a chain of multiple lakes, but I've never fished appleton. Good luck, gives us a report. Pike, bass, gills in Crooked and pinckney area lakes.

Crooked has some nice bass and redear fishing. Nice rustic camping. My sons friend works for the DNR there. I'll pick his brain as to how it is now-a-days.
