I fished that lake all summer and it sucked. Not one walleye, no decent bass, tiny pike. 2 or 3 nice bluegills all summer. Wouldnt expect any better in fall.

If you are going to St. Helen, go to Bluegills Live Bait in St. Helen and buy a dozen sucker minnows. Do not buy small ones, rather the bigger the better. Attatch said minnow to a triple hook crawler harness with a large silver blade. Drift with the wind over the weeds adjusting your amount of line out depending on depth. You will not be dissapointed! The bluegill are very good in there in the spring. My wife even caught her limit there using teardrops and wax worms. I disagree with the other member who has had limited success. I will say however that the bluegill fishing, at least in my opinion, has slowed down. Earlier in the year, we killed them. I probably caught 500 7 to 11 inch bluegills this summer. We also caught many, many pike. Most pike there tend to run small, but there are some large ones, and a lot of large bass. PM me and I can hook you up with some great spots! Hope this helps, and good luck!
