Big Manistique Lake

Has anyone been up to Big Manistique in the last couple of weeks? Have to go in the next couple of weekends to get the docks in, waiting for a dry day or two. Hope to get out on the water one last time for a fresh fillet or two.

i was up there a week before labor day. caught perch on minnows north of burnt island next to weedline/dropoff. have fun. moms

Spent a couple days at the Log Cabin RV Park a couple weeks ago. They were really getting the perch! Some dandys!
As I don't have a clue where to tell you to go, but they were right out in front of the RV park. From his little launch, you'd go straight towards that road coming down the hill on the other side of the lake.
I wasn't fishing, just camping with the wife for a couple days on that stop. I seen some dandys being cleaned in their fish house.

i was up late in august and me and my friend did very well up there even thought most of the walleye are on the small side, we had alot of sucess with pike and smallies

helmer bay was the best fishing spot we had for both walleye and pike

Thanks for the replies- just made it up this last weekend. Got enough perch for a decent dinner--could only fish for 1 1/2 hour--had to get stuff ready for winter. Perch were 8-10 inches, kind of a slow bite while we were out-good to be on the water none the less.
