I am looking for some information on the Huron River in the fall. If i cant get my boat in on Lake Erie, (BACK TROUBLE) i am looking for any shoreline spots and not for just bottom feeders.......looking for gills, and pansish.
Thank you. BTW....the closer to Monroe the better.

Labo park has nice access to the river. It's on S. Huron River drive between Dixie hwy. and 1-75. Have caught Walleye, silver bass and smallies there in the spring. Don't know how it is this time of year, though.
If you want panfish, the marinas load up with them in the fall. Humbug in Gibralter is great (if you don't get kicked out). I have also done well in the marina at the mouth of the Huron River right on Lake Erie(catch some perch too), and there's another marina in Frenchtown right on Lake Erie that's good. This one is at the mouth of the creek that crosses Dixie hwy by the Foodtown grocery store. Sorry the name of the marina and the road it's on escape me right now. Lots of gills in there fall season, but you have to sort through them.
Another place to try for gills is at Huroc park in flat rock-right on the huron river. Cross the bridge, walk south to the end of the land. You will be looking at the Telegraph rd bridge when u get there. Theres a little peninsula where a creek flows into the huron. Fish the confluence in the calm water for gills and crappies. Often times you will pick up smallies here too. If you go out, send me a reply or pm on how u did.. I'm getting hungry for bluegill fillets!
